EOI is a non-profit-making institution founded in 1955 by agreement of the Ministries of Industry and Education to enhance the training of executives or anyone who in the future may hold a managerial position. It was the first business management school to be established in Spain and is one of the oldest in Europe.

EOI has extensive experience in environmental training. It has been delivering environmental management and engineering courses since 1975. EOI is also making decisive headway in new technologies for teaching and technological applications for companies, with particular emphasis on innovation.

At the same time it is aware that the Spanish productive sector rests with the small and medium businesses and it is here where jobs are generated and creativity is displayed. Accordingly, the School has been contributing for years to the training of business entrepreneurs, with the tangible result of over 3,000 up-and-running companies.

EOI has strongly backed internationalisation in Europe and Latin America. The result of this constant dedication has been the creation of a network of centres and Spanish, European and Latin American companies based on the pooling and exchange of knowledge, programmes, students, and lecturers.

All the School activity is driven by the desire to offer top-quality subjects and programmes. In this respect, during the first half of 2003 the certification process has been completed and EOI has been the first AEEDE Business School member to obtain the ISO 9001:2000 certification granted by Aenor for all the Postgraduate and Professional programmes, both Face to Face and On Line.
