ESTE was created in 1956, closely tied to a land with a long tradition
of industry and entrepreneurial initiatives, where corporate development
has always demanded high-calibre managers and professionals, trained
with a future mentality. Its founder, Father Errandonea, promoted
a centre that is characterised by its innovative capacity and its
proximity to the corporate world, in imitation of many American
Business Schools.
In its more than 45 years' experience of university education,
ESTE has demonstrated a firm desire for modernisation and continuous
improvement, which has enabled it to develop training programmes
adapted to the needs and trends of the corporate world.
This trend led to its incorporation into the Universidad de Deusto
in 1979 as an Economics and Business Studies Faculty, the recognition
for civil purposes of the studies followed there and the admission
of students to the Official State Qualification in 1986 by Royal
Decree 664/86. Together with the Business Administration and Management
Degree programme, ESTE develops many training courses to match the
needs of the corporate world.
